The Prayer Flag Project
The Prayer Flag Project was born in the summer of 2024 as a response to what is happening in our world, near and far. It is meant to inspire, send out blessings, and plant seeds of connection and kindness.
The Prayer Flag Project combines the tradition that began in ancient Tibet of flags flown for compassion, peace and healing with eco-printing — an art form that brings the unique and varied beauty of Nature into a creative process.
In August, September and October, while leaves and flowers were still in full bloom, people gathered and eco-printed two flags, one to keep and one to donate to the project. In the end, we made 105 flags to fly. All were created with the intention to send blessings out into our community and beyond. Every single flag is unique and so beautiful.
We would like for these flags to travel to different locations in our community — organizations, schools, universities, churches, book stores, and appropriate events. If you are interested, please contact Lynda Jacobs at the email below.
Come springtime, when leaves return and flowers bloom, we will resume the making of the flags. I hope you can join us along the way.
If you are interested in participating, either by making flags or flying them at an event, please let me know by clicking on the button below. I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
Thanks so much for your interest. ~Lynda
